Account Deletion
1729 Math: 1729math.com and the 1729 SAT apps for iOS and Android
You can delete your 1729 Math account and its data at any time, in one of two ways.
In the app or on the web (immediate)
Students who sign in with their own email and password can delete their account themselves:
- Sign in to the app, or to 1729math.com.
- Open Account at the top of the courses screen.
- Under Delete account, type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete my account.
The deletion happens at once and cannot be undone. You are signed out, and your login stops working.
By email (within 30 days)
Teacher, parent and school-created student accounts can't be deleted from the Account screen, and neither can an account you can no longer sign in to. Email us and we will delete it for you:
support@1729math.com
Write from the email address on the account (for a student account a teacher or parent created, from that teacher's or parent's address) and say which account to delete. We complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account is permanently removed:
- Your profile: name, email address and role.
- Your login, so the account can no longer be used.
- Practice history: every problem attempt, answer and score, including attempts archived by a reset.
- Progress through courses, units and problem sets.
- SAT test results, score reports, exam routing and skill estimates.
- Study plans and their settings.
- Course and class enrollments, course access, and any assignment changes a teacher made for you.
- Code you wrote: saved projects and unsubmitted drafts.
- Sign-in records and time-spent records.
- Feedback and bug reports you sent us.
- Your subscription record on our servers and at our billing provider.
What is kept, and why
- Purchase records held by Apple or Google. An app store subscription's payment history lives in Apple's or Google's systems, not ours, and we cannot delete it. Ask Apple or Google about those records.
- Payment records for a web subscription. Stripe, the merchant of record for web purchases, keeps its own transaction records as the law requires.
- Billing audit entries. A few subscription event records may keep your former account number inside their stored data, for accounting. They hold no name or email and point to no account that still exists.
- Totals that identify no one, for example how many students tried a given problem.
- Service logs. Email delivery logs and error reports kept by our service providers expire on their own schedules, usually within 90 days.
Subscriptions
If you subscribed on 1729math.com, deleting your account cancels that web subscription automatically, and you won't be charged again. The cancellation is immediate, and the unused part of the current period is not pro-rated (the Terms of Sale explain the 14-day first-charge refund, which deleting does not cost you).
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Apple and Google handle that billing and keep charging until you cancel with them: on iPhone or iPad in Settings > Subscriptions, on Android in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancel there first, then delete your account.
