AP Cybersecurity
How attacks work and how to defend buildings, networks, devices, applications, and data.
The whole course is free: six units and 69 problem sets. Teachers can log in, enroll their students, and assign any set.
New: Live Quiz, a Kahoot-style game. The teacher runs a set from the front of the room and students answer on their own devices. Any set can be played, and Units 1 to 3 also have short quiz sets written for the game.

1.How web requests and Wi-Fi encryption work, phishing and fake login pages, safe habits on public networks, and how attackers and defenders use AI.
2.Adversaries and their motives, the phases of an attack, risk assessment and defense in depth, then physical attacks on buildings and how to choose controls and detection for them.
3.Addresses, packets, ports and protocols, common network attacks, wireless hardening, segmentation, firewalls and access control lists, and reading network logs.
4.Malware and how devices get exploited, password hashing and password attacks, MFA and login settings, patching and host firewalls, and reading authentication logs.
5.Injection and memory attacks on web apps, regulated data and access control, file permissions, symmetric and public-key encryption, integrity hashing, and application logs.
6.Exam PracticeFree-response practice in three sets: a device security analysis, scoring sample answers, and analyzing shared sources.
