Help, account, and billing questions for 1729 Math

We answer questions about accounts, subscriptions, and content, usually within two business days.

Account

  • Forgot your password? Use Reset password and follow the emailed link.
  • Delete your account. If you sign in with your own email and password, open Account — in the app or on the web — and choose Delete my account. Teacher, parent, and school-created student accounts can't be deleted from that screen; email support@1729math.com and we'll do it for you. Either way it permanently removes the account and all practice history, and it cannot be undone. See below for what it does to an active subscription.

Free courses and subscriptions

  • What's free. The whole curriculum is free: PreAlgebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus, and the computer science courses. No subscription, for students or teachers.
  • Why subscribe. Subscribing pays for hosting and maintenance. It unlocks the full SAT course, Math and Reading & Writing, plus premium teacher and student content as it is added. If the cost is a genuine barrier for your family or your school, write to support@1729math.com and tell us your situation. We set aside free access for students who need it, and we would rather you study than pay.

Did you subscribe in the iPhone app, or on this website? Cancelling, restoring, and refunds work differently depending on where you paid.

Subscribed in the iPhone app

  • Cancel or manage. These subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID, renew automatically until cancelled, and are managed by Apple. Open Settings > Subscriptions on your device. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Access continues to the end of the paid period. App Store purchases are governed by Apple's Standard EULA, not our Terms of Sale.
  • Restore a purchase. On a new device, open Account in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Settings > Subscriptions as well, or Apple will keep billing your Apple ID.

Subscribed on the website

  • Cancel or manage. Web subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. The sale is processed by Stripe through Link, so you manage it at link.com:
    1. Go to link.com and choose Log in, not Sign up. Paying once already created your Link account, even if you never set one up.
    2. Enter the email address you used at checkout.
    3. Link texts a verification code to the phone number you entered at checkout, so use a phone that can still receive that text.
    4. Your subscription appears under Current subscription. Choose Cancel subscription.
Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. The next billing date shown on that page is when access ends.
  • Can't get into link.com? The manage-subscription link in any receipt or renewal-reminder email goes to the same place. If neither works, usually because the phone number changed, email support@1729math.com from the address you subscribed with and we will cancel it for you.
  • The charge on your statement. It reads "LINK.COM* 1729MATH.COM". That charge is ours, and it is not a sign of fraud. Full details are in our Terms of Sale.
  • Refunds. Your first charge on a new subscription is fully refundable for 14 days, for any reason. After that we look at each request individually. Refunds are issued by Stripe, but write to us, not to Stripe: email support@1729math.com from the address you subscribed with. We reply within two business days.
  • Deleting your account cancels your web subscription automatically. You won't be charged again. The cancellation is immediate, so if you still want the time you already paid for, cancel instead of deleting. Deleting does not cost you the 14-day first-charge refund above.

Using 1729 Math

  • Found a wrong answer or a typo? Tap Report Bug at the bottom of any problem. It tells us exactly which question you were on.
  • Progress isn't updating? Pull down to refresh, or fully close and reopen the app. Your work is saved to your account, not the device.
  • Requirements. Any modern browser on the web, or an iPhone or iPad on iOS 15 or later for the app. Both need an internet connection.
