Privacy Policy

1729 Math (1729math.com and the 1729 SAT Math app) · Effective July 2, 2026

1729 Math is a math-practice service for students. This policy describes what information the service collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what is needed to run your account and track your study progress, we never sell your information, and we show no ads.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address (or a username for younger students), a display name, and your role (student, teacher, or parent).
• Study data — the problems you attempt, your answers, scores, progress through courses, and study-plan settings. This is the core of the service: it is used to grade your work, remember where you left off, and personalize what you practice next.
• Usage data — sign-in events and time spent practicing, used to operate the service and understand how it is used in aggregate.
• Feedback — if you report a bug or send feedback, we receive the message you write and the context of the problem you were viewing.
• Subscription status — if you subscribe in the iOS app, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details; we receive only your subscription status (active or expired, and its renewal date) so we can unlock paid content.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We do not show advertising and do not use advertising trackers.
• We do not use your data for anything other than providing and improving the service.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service. Each receives only what is needed for its function:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (your account and study data live here).
• Vercel — website hosting and aggregate performance analytics.
• Apple — App Store payments and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — relays your subscription status from Apple to us.
• Resend — sends transactional email (e.g. sign-up confirmations, bug-report notifications).
• Sentry — error reporting, so we can fix crashes.

Students and children

1729 Math is used by students, including students under 13 whose accounts are created by a teacher or parent. Student data is used solely to provide the educational service, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account (and the personal data listed above) from the account page inside the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — Apple manages billing, and you can cancel anytime in Settings > Subscriptions on your device.

Security and retention

Data is stored with access controls that limit each account to its own records, and is retained only while your account exists (or as required for billing records). No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect in the first place, which limits what could ever be exposed.
