These terms govern subscriptions purchased directly on 1729math.com through our web checkout. If you subscribed inside the 1729 SAT iOS app, Apple's Standard EULA governs that purchase. The Support page explains how to manage an app subscription.

Who you're buying from

1729 Math is operated by Long B Nguyen, a Massachusetts sole proprietorship doing business as 1729 Math, 1237 Liberty St, Braintree, MA 02184. Support: support@1729math.com.

Web subscriptions are sold with Stripe as merchant of record, under Stripe Managed Payments. Link is the visible merchant. Your card or bank statement will read exactly "LINK.COM* 1729MATH.COM". That charge is ours, and it is not a sign of fraud. Stripe calculates, collects, and remits any sales tax or VAT on the sale.

What you're buying

The subscription unlocks the full Digital SAT course, Math and Reading & Writing, as auto-graded interactive practice delivered instantly by software. It includes no live instruction, tutoring, or other human service.

The rest of the curriculum on 1729math.com is free and stays free: PreAlgebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus, and the computer science courses. You do not need a subscription for any of it, and parts of the SAT course are free to try before you subscribe.

Pricing

Web subscriptions are $5.99 per month or $35.99 per year, in USD. Prices are tax-inclusive: the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged. Any sales tax or VAT comes out of that amount.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Unless you cancel first, the card you paid with is charged the same amount, $5.99 monthly or $35.99 yearly, at the start of each new period, with no further action from you. Stripe emails a renewal reminder at least 7 days before each renewal charge, and a receipt after it.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe emails you and retries over the following days. If it still has not gone through at the end of those retries, the subscription is cancelled and paid access ends. The free courses stay available, and you can subscribe again at any time.

Cancellation

You can cancel a web subscription at any time, online. Stripe sells through Link, so subscription management lives at link.com. Choose Log in rather than Sign up, and use the email address you gave at checkout. Link then texts a verification code to the phone number from that same checkout, so you will need a phone that can still receive it. The manage-subscription link in any Stripe receipt or renewal-reminder email goes to the same place. If neither works, email support@1729math.com and we will cancel it for you within two business days.

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not pro-rate that period. A first charge is separately refundable in full for 14 days: see Refunds below.

Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are managed by Apple. Cancel those in Settings > Subscriptions on your device. Apple's Standard EULA governs them, not these terms.

Refunds

You can get a full refund of your first charge on a new subscription within 14 days of that charge, for any reason. You do not have to explain why. This covers the first charge only, not later renewals, and the 14 days run from the charge date shown on your receipt. It applies whether you cancelled first, deleted your account, or did neither.

To ask for any refund, email support@1729math.com from the address you subscribed with. We reply within two business days. Refunds for web purchases are issued by Stripe as merchant of record, but you do not need to contact Stripe yourself.

Outside that window we review each request individually. A duplicate charge, a charge you did not authorize, or a problem on our side is always refunded. Nothing here limits any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you have where you live.

Account deletion

Students who sign in with their own email and password can delete their account from the Account page, in the app or on the web. Teacher, parent, and school-created student accounts are deleted by us instead: email support@1729math.com and we will take care of it.

Deleting an account with an active web subscription cancels that subscription first, so you won't be charged again. That cancellation is immediate and ends paid access at once. The unused part of the current period is not pro-rated, though deleting does not cost you the 14-day first-charge refund above. If you want to use the time you have already paid for, cancel instead of deleting.

Deleting an account with an active App Store subscription does not cancel it. Apple manages that billing and will keep charging your Apple ID until you cancel in Settings > Subscriptions on your device. Cancel there first, then delete.

Acceptable use

Use 1729 Math for your own practice. Don't share your login with people outside your household or classroom, resell access, scrape or redistribute the problem content, or try to interfere with the service for other users.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date, and email current subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Changes apply from your next renewal, not to the period you have already paid for, and you can cancel before then if you do not accept them. We will not change the price of a subscription you already hold without at least 30 days' notice by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
